Painting, for me, is a way of slowing down and understanding the world through observation. The more time I spend looking, the more I notice how light, colour, and form transform even the simplest subjects.
Working primarily in oil, with occasional works in gouache, I create representational paintings from life. Through still lifes, flowers, and landscapes, my work explores the changing relationship between light, atmosphere, colour, and form. The immediacy of painting wet-into-wet from life continues to inspire me, while studying traditional oil painting techniques deepens my understanding of the medium.
Based in Mumbai, India, I draw inspiration from my surroundings. I believe art has no boundaries. Beyond countries, geography, and trends, it speaks a universal language through light, colour, and shadow.
For me, painting is an act of quiet discovery. I don’t hesitate to repaint, simplify, or begin again until each work feels true to what I have seen and experienced.
